Who We Are
At Great Plates, we pride ourselves on creating and delivering customised number plates for our customers. Having over 20 years experience in the number plate business, we know that our customers want simple, accessible and affordable plates that not only look great, but stand the test of time.
We took time developing our number plate builder – but we’re more than just a plate maker! We’re a small, family-run workshop that cares about doing things properly, offering both creativity and compliance in everything we make.
From DVLA-compliant plates to creative show plate designs, everything is built by hand in our workshop, using quality materials and careful processes. Whether you’re a car enthusiast or just need a quick, affordable replacement, we’re here to help.

At Great Plates, we’ve built an experience around customisation and clarity. You can use our online plate designer to build exactly what you need – legal or show, car or bike, classic or modern.
Want something extra? Try our badge builder and add a logo, flag, or custom slogan. And if you’re after something more bespoke, just ask. We’re a small team, which means we’re flexible and fast.
Because we’re based in Jersey, we can supply number plates without the usual documentation checks. That means quicker turnaround times and a smoother process from start to finish.
Our Delivery Commitment
Shipping and Delivery
We take your order seriously, from the moment you click “buy” to the second it lands at your door.
Our workshop operates Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm. All orders placed before 3pm are dispatched the same day. Orders after 3pm? They’ll leave our hands first thing the next working day.
Delivery options:
- Express (1-2 Working Day, tracked) – £8.99
- Standard (2–3 working days, tracked) – £6.99
- Royal Mail Economy (3–5 working days, untracked) – £6.50 (this option is best if you’re not in a rush).
All parcels are carefully packed in protective packaging and go through a triple quality-check process before shipping. We know how frustrating transit damage can be, so we make sure yours is secure.
